Reload energy Drink

Taste: 7.5

Power: 7.5

The good stuff: Guarana, Gingko Biloba, Ginseng, Echinacea, Caffeine

This stuff is weird…but in a really good way.  Best way to describe it goes something like this:  Take one bottle of Bawls and one can of Big Red (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, try to get your hands on a can…if that’s not happening, think red cream soda.)  Now open the Big Red and let it go about half flat…do the same with the Bawls.  Now mix 1 part Big Red, and 2 parts Bawls…and that’s something close to Reload.  Over all it’s actually quite good.  Reload has a kind of clean taste to it very similar to what you get with Bawls…combine that with a low amount of carbonation and you have a drink that goes down REALLY easily.  As a matter of fact, the lack of carbonation makes this a drink that would work really well as a pre game pick me up, or a nice little work out boost.  There’s not much of an after taste at all, and what tiny bit you may notice is nothing at all offensive…just kind of clean and simple.  Now this may come across as a negative, but I don’t mean it that way at all, as a matter of fact I list it as a positive….Reload reminds me of a really well flavored water….with lots of caffeine.  Might not sound so hot to some of you out there, but really it’s worth a shot if you can find it.

Reload hit me pretty fast.  I’m not sure if it’s the ingredients, or the fact I drank it faster because  it just goes down so easily…whatever the case I was brought up to speed pretty quickly and enough that I was actually kind of surprised and over all pretty pleased.  I honestly didn’t expect too much from Reload, but I got something that I really enjoyed the flavor of and it got me up and running pretty well to boot.  The over all effects lasted for a bout an hour, which is a good amount of time if you are working out, or using it as a half-time boost…still not a late night party drink (those have been harder and harder to come by as of late) but it definitely has a place in my fridge, and it would actually work just as well (probably better) for a long gaming session as Bawls

Over all, definitely give this stuff a shot if you run across it.  It’s another one of those drinks that would probably have a pretty good following if people decided to pick up a bottle.  By the way, that’s another place where this stuff earns points…BOTTLE.  Take sip, close lid…no spills.  We need more of those damn it.
