Damn it, it’s another freakin Red Bull clone.  Not sure how many of these are out there, but they have to account for a good 50% of the energy drink market.  Now I have tried many a Red Bull knock off in my time…for the most part they are all similar enough to be easily confused with the real deal…on occasion you even find one that is actually better.  This is not the case.  While Morning Café might be a more refined version of RB, Max Velocity is a less refined version.  The base flavor is of course the same, but the back of it has a very distinct sharpness to it that makes it not so smooth.  If you have ever tried a cheap Icee Pop in its thawed state you’ll know what I mean.  There is a raspy sharpness to the flavor that is quite unpleasant.  This is exactly what I’m sensing in Max Velocity…only not to the degree you’d find in said melted Icee Pop (maybe a quarter or so of it).   And for those of you who have no clue what the hell I’m saying, let me put it into basic terms.  That flavor sucks.  What you are getting here is a cheaper, weaker version of Red Bull that does not taste quite as good.  Of course it only costs half as much so it’s kind of a take it or leave it situation.  2 cans of this will probably give you a better kick than one can of Red Bull for the same price…and the taste is not exactly horrible, or undrinkable…..so you know…

The power is what it is.  You have an 8oz Red Bull knock missing some of the ingredients.  Nothing special…had worse, had better.  If you are wanting to pick up a can for yourself, the only place to find this stuff is at Albertsons…just an FYI in case you are in the mood for some dolla’ energy.
