While it’s hard for me to call this stuff a true energy drink, it is in fact a liquid…and it is supposed to give you a boost. Energy Shooter is an energy “shot” in every sense of the word. It comes in a tiny vial designed for easy portability and RAPID consumption…and rightfully so, because this stuff tastes pretty bad. Butterscotch and earwax…..I think I’m going to leave it at that. Take it as you would cheap liquor…with a chaser. You aren’t really drinking it to savor flavor, but as a means to an end…and again, just like cheap liquor, it serves its purpose quite well.
The cool part about most of the energy shots out there is that they work pretty damn fast, and pretty damn well. Energy Shooter is no exception. Packing all the power of a standard energy drink into a small package allows all the good stuff inside to hit you together instead of spread out over time taken in sip by sip. Usually, the result is a bigger rush that can come on in 2-5 minutes. In the case of Energy Shooter however the rush is not quite as strong as other energy shots out there. Actually, it felt a bit less than that of a Red Bull but it did hit pretty quickly and it did wake my ass up, so all things considered it does in fact have a bit of a kick to it.
Of course as with other energy shots, the down side is that it burns off faster and you can often experience a pretty solid crash as well… Think of Energy Shooter as a can of engine starter. Use it as something to get you QUICKLY fired up, but be prepared to add additional fuel to stay running.
