Let me just get this out of the way and say that this is an orange drink….plain and simple, however, this just so happens to be one of my favorite orange drinks of all time. Seriously, it’s like the culmination of several good orange flavored products all rolled in to one and then loaded up with energy stuff. Imagine taking orange Gatorade, Orange Crush, and orange Icy Pop’s, mixing them together and then adding caffeine. Each sip brings a little something different out. Over all it goes down pretty easily, but there is a bit of sharpness that pops out here and there. Hell, sometimes I even get a hint of what tastes like orange peel which is really freaking weird. Basically it’s damn near an orange overkill, but it all just seems to work. It’s pretty much bitch slapping you with orange, and since it doesn’t suck you freaking enjoy it. Typically I prefer the more juice-like orange drinks….they work best for early morning drive to work situations. Amp Relaunch however, is more of an anytime kind of drink. Since it does have more of a soda type feel it makes a great drink for a hot day, or late night. Hell, I’d be willing to bet that it would totally kick ass mixed up with a bit of vodka for a kind of energy screwdriver.
As far as the power goes, it’s pretty much a standard effort. It will get the job done and it’s set on a level that pretty much everyone out there has come to know. It’s not going to have many of you wired, but it will definitely give you a boost you’ll feel. The overall effects aren’t going to last long enough to keep you going strong for hours but it should at least lift you up a bit when you need it.
Over all I say give this one a shot if you are a fan of orange drinks. It’s one of several new flavors Amp has released in their Relaunch line so definitely try and get your hands on a can while they are on the shelves!
