The good stuff: Caffeine

 

This stuff I had big hopes for...unfortunatly.  The package states that 2 pieces has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee.....To bad they must be comparing it to decaff.  This stuff does not hold up at all to the other caffinated stuff on the market power wise, but conversly it doesn't taste quite as harsh either.  The flavor of Mad Crock Energy Gum is quite similar to those little chalky after dinner mints (without the chalky of course).  Not to bad, but not to good either.  It's kind of a diluted peppermint with an unpleasent hint of caffeine.  While you can definitly taste it, the effects of the caffeine are probably only going to be noticed by those of you who aren't the hard core energy drink types.  Not nearly as strong as the Foosh products, but still stronger than a few Jo Mints.  I suppose it holds it's own in the energy gum department, but I'm fairly sure there is probably a competing product just as strong with a better taste...rest assured that as soon as I find it I'll let you folks know.
