I think that covers the important stuff. Buzz Bites have a serious kick ass blast of caffeine in them. 100mg per chew, so that’s 600mg per tin….There is enough caffeine in these guys to wire you and your friends for hours on end. Now typically I’m used to seeing stuff with a bit of caffeine here and a bit of caffeine there, but Buzz Bites go all out. For the hell of it I was considering downing 2 or 3 of them, but after sitting on the idea I decided that as interesting and entertaining as it might be for you folks to read an insane caffeine high induced rant about candy, it probably wasn’t in the best interest of my brain or body. These little guys are great to have around for that quick pick-me-up…they come in a nice small tin (a bit larger than a Jō mint box and a bit smaller than an Altoids box) and each candy is individually wrapped. They are a bit more portable and resilient than the XTZ Truffles (not nearly as prone to melting) and actually contain more caffeine. Taste wise, they are not bad, though I don’t think any of us would eat them for the love of the flavor. Basically Buzz Bites are chocolate chews that have a bit of an odd taste in the back due to the massive amount of caffeine in each one. They do a pretty decent job of controlling the taste of caffeine (for those of you out there wondering, caffeine is not at all pleasant and if you have ever tasted it anywhere near it’s pure form you can really appreciate what Vroom Foods has done here to contain it in a tiny little package) but it is still a bit noticeable. I found that the first one I had I wanted a bit of water to wash down the after taste to it, but each one thereafter went down quite well, and the more I ate the more I liked them. That large dose of caffeine will catch you off guard at first, but once you know it’s coming it’s all good. A lot of time and effort was put into making a little candy that is actually palatable and potent and I think that in the end it all pays off. Over all, for any of you that want a LARGE burst of caffeine, these I would list as a MUST TRY. Really, their effects will not disappoint.
